They are made of what I think they call bark cloth.  There is about 2.5" to 3" between the pleats
(they are not consistent - just not done to precision)

Roller Shades by the sink and in the bathroom

We installed roller shades in the kitchen and bathroom.  In the kitchen this stays out of the way of the stove.  In the bath room it is nice to have vinyl instead of cloth
